Bryan & Megan – “she said yes” Seattle, WA

04.09.11 will go down as a Special day for Bryan and Megan. That’s the day she said yes. What an amazing moment to be part of… amazing in a few ways. I have never been on top of the space needle, so I had no idea what it will look like up there. The weather was also not playing nice, combine those two things.. and you have a nervous me. I was a good hour early to walked around the observation deck, then stopped to chat with an elderly couple from Eugene, OR who calmed my nerves for a while, while I waited for Bryan and Megan to arrive.

I was positive that everything is going to turn out just perfect as I already played it over in my head. Bryan is going to walk out of the “yellow” elevator, a few feet away is the door exiting onto the observation deck. I was planning on just nodding my head to Bryan as he walked passed me, follow them outside and have my camera ready for when Bryan was ready to ask the question. Well …. that was a good plan. But things did not turn out the way I saw them in my head. About 5 minutes before Bryan & Megan was suppose to step outside, the door was CLOSED. Closed due to high winds. At this point I was shaking a little bit. I have not seen Bryan & Megan yet, so I was terrified of missing this special moment. Just then my phone rang. “We are here, where are you?” I don’t really remember what I replied, because I am pretty sure I mumbled something in the lines of “meet me outside by the water…”. Thankfully Bryan seemed to make sense out of my words and I walked outside and stood a few feet away as he Proposed to Megan. I am 100% convinced Megan was blown away and extremely excited. She said YES between smiling, kissing and more smiling.

Once Bryan introduced me to Megan and revealed what exactly I was doing there we decided to head downstairs for a few more portraits before the two of them celebrated the night with Dinner. Thank you Bryan for asking me to capture this special day in your life. I hope you enjoy these images and that they will bring back great memories of the day you proposed.

    so freakin cute, I just had a similar experience with a couple this month, its so cool when she doesn’t expect a thing! Congratulations Bryan & Megan. Well done Adele, you got amazing shots, I especially like the ones where Megan clutches her dress so it doesn’t go up in the wind and of course that amazing colourful background…next time I’m in Seattle you have to go show it to me Adele ;)
